Islands of Friends -Social Skills Program
For children ages 4-5 

For children who need to enhance their interpersonal skills, both at school and at home, clinique entourfamille™ offers Islands of Friends social skills program.

Islands of Friends is an onsite, interactive, and engaging social skills workshop for pre-school children. The program is scheduled over six sessions of 45 minutes each.

Social skills are taught and modelled in a fun and experiential way by travelling on an imaginary trip to the four Islands of Friends. 

Each island teaches a different skill:

• Space Bubble Island – personal space
• Listening Island – communication, interpreting social cues
• Feelings Island – recognizing emotions in self and others
• Stormy Island – regulating and managing difficult emotions

Children will learn to identify their personal space, listen with their whole body (e.g., looking eyes, listening ears, quiet mouth), identify and manage their emotions through play, songs, movement and other interactive activities.

Helping you and your child starts with a complementary consultation with our early childhood development specialist in order to determine whether your child can benefit from this program and any other therapy. A more comprehensive evaluation may be recommended.

Receipts are provided for all paid services.

It is the responsibility of the client to verify with their insurance plan if a particular service is covered, the specific amount of coverage, and which professionals are covered under each plan.
